Why Correct Flange Size Matters?
Nipple size can change throughout your breastfeeding journey—during pregnancy, postpartum, and as your milk supply adjusts. Hormonal shifts, swelling, and frequent pumping can all affect nipple size and shape.
Choosing the right flange size is key for comfort and efficient milk expression. A flange that’s too small can cause pain or blocked ducts, while one that’s too large can reduce suction and milk flow.
For the best results, regularly measure your nipple size and adjust your flange accordingly.
Two Methods for Measuring Your Nipple Size
First Method: Using a Ruler for Measurement
Step 1: Gently stimulate your nipple to make it erect.
Step 2: Place your nipple against the ruler, ensuring it aligns with the measurements. The ruler should rest lightly against the areola.
Step 3: Note the measurement and refer to the size chart to determine your recommended flange size.

Choose a breast shield size that is appropriately larger than this measurement.
Second Method: Using a Measuring Tool with Holes for Measurement
Step 1: Gently stimulate your nipple to make it erect.
Step 2: Place your nipple into the hole of the measuring tool. Ensure the nipple passes fully through the hole, and the tool rests lightly against the areola. The correct fit should be comfortable, without pinching or discomfort.
Step 3: Note the measurement and refer to the size chart to determine your recommended flange size.

Note
① Your left and right nipples may have different sizes, so please measure both of them to get their exact sizes.
② When you start pumping, your nipple size may change. Therefore, it's recommended that you choose the flange size 1-3 mm larger than your nipple's size, or you can measure the exact size when you finish pumping.
③ Breasts are highly sensitive. Handle breast measurements with sensitivity and care to prevent discomfort or skin irritation.
